DCS Information Systems Privacy Statement

DCS Information Systems has been providing businesses with computer-related services since 1966 and has been providing online data-retrieval services to qualified businesses since 1988.

DCS provides products that are useful in identifying and locating individuals for various lawful business purposes. Our services are useful in law enforcement, fraud prevention and detection, and a range of business transactions and legal proceedings.

DCS is committed to providing a high-quality database product to its business and government customers, while maintaining a high degree of respect for the sensitive nature of the information provided.

DCS provides access only to government agencies and to legitimate businesses and licensed business professionals who can demonstrate an appropriate need for, and use of, the information. DCS does not provide its services to the general public.

DCS does not capture information from visitors to our web site, except for information entered by the visitor requesting us to contact them or to make changes to their existing account with DCS. This information is not used for any other purpose than that represented on our web site.

Information provided by DCS through the secured portion of this website is obtained directly from one or more of the following sources:

  • Government agencies: This includes information related to drivers’ licenses, motor vehicles, real property records, death records, criminal histories, and so on.
  • Credit bureaus: DCS provides nonpublic credit header information on adult individuals obtained from the three major credit bureaus in compliance with applicable laws.
  • Third-party businesses: These businesses provide information obtained from publicly available sources.

DCS does not compile or distribute mailing lists or consumer marketing data.

Since DCS does not offer its products to the general public, DCS does not offer individuals the opportunity to opt out of its public-record databases, nor does DCS change or modify information obtained from public records since that would violate the integrity of the public record database. DCS is committed to providing information that accurately represents the public record from which it is obtained, and complies with all applicable laws (such as the Drivers Privacy Protection Act (DPPA), Gramm Leach Bliley Act (GLBA), the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and any other applicable Federal, State, and/or local laws).

Should an individual communicate the existence of an inaccurate DCS record, DCS will refer that individual to the proper public record or credit bureau. DCS does not modify information obtained from the credit bureaus. If any information obtained from a credit header is deemed to be inaccurate, the consumer is encouraged to contact the individual credit bureau to correct the information.
